The Kitty Kaster is a battery-operated, motorized toy that entertains your cat for hours. Our Review:

The makers of Kitty Kaster have been successful in creating a toy that cats will actually play with (and do so with a passion)! Kitty Kaster is very easy to operate. The user simply casts the bait (up to 8 feet away); to retrieve the bait swiftly, the user simply pushes a small button on the handle and it flies right back! Kitty Kaster actually simulates a fly in the air, so cats go absolutely crazy over catching it! We found that casting and retrieving repeatedly created a really energetic, good time for our Ragdolls. As we used Kitty Kaster more and more, we were able to control lure better. With practice, we were able to easily make the lure fly in different directions, and at different speeds!

A common problem with motorized toys is the noise they make. Many times, cats are afraid of the noise that most motorized toys on the market make. Kitty Kaster eludes this problem because the quiet motor mechanism is in the hand-held module, not in the lure (which is what your cat will be chasing).

Kitty Kaster comes in differnet colors, with the most common being blue and pink. We found no significant problems with Kitty Kaster. It is made of durable plastic, is easy to use, and provides a lot of fun!

Most cat owners know that when a cat sees a fly hovering around a room, kitty forgets all the rules and makes it his life's mission to go after that fly! That's the reaction that Kitty Kaster will get from you cat. And all you have to do is release the lure (by not depressing a button on the control module); and then retrieve the lure (by depressing the same button on the control module). Doing these to things with a rythm will cause the lure to fly around like a fly . . . and will drive your cat crazy!

Kitty Kaster is powered by 2 "AAA" bateries, not included with the toy. This toy is a real winner! InPlay should market this toy much more so that cat owners are able to enjoy this wonderful product, which is strongly recommended here, at RCN! You will love it; and your Ragdoll cats will absolutely love you for getting them one!

While not a major problem, in testing Kitty Kaster, we found that keeping the line (or string) from getting knots is the biggest threat. Because the motor retrieves the lure fairly swiftly, knots that may have formed outside the mechanism, could end up jamming the toy. This only happened once in our test; and it happened while casting the lure among furniture, where it was tangled . . . and, consequently, a knot formed.

Kitty Kaster is sold at most pet stores and specialty pet product outlets. If you don't see it on display, ask the store to order it for you! This is one toy that every cat lover should own. The hours of fun and entertainment that you and your cat will get from this gadget makes it worth its price in gold! The only negative aspect of Kitty Kaster is that cats can get overly exhausted by playing too long. Humans should keep track of playtime. This toy provides an extreme workout; and, even though it's tons of fun for everybody, moderation in play periods should be kept in mind. Other than that, Kitty Kaster is definately recommended for all Ragdoll cats!
